What is DITO eSIM?

DITO eSIM is DITO Telecommunity's latest SIM technology, enabling quick activation, easy network switching, and access to the #1 Rated Mobile Network in the Philippines*. No physical SIM needed—just use your compatible device to get started. 

How do eSIMs work?

An eSIM is a built-in digital SIM that works just like a regular SIM card but can’t be removed or replaced. To activate it, you need to download the mobile operator's eSIM profile online. The process is fully digital, making it faster and more convenient for users.

What are the benefits of eSIMs?

eSIMs offer several advantages over physical SIMs:

  • Flexibility – Easily switch between networks and plans.
  • Convenience – Quick and easy activation.
  • Security – Less risk of loss, theft, or hacking.

How can I buy a DITO eSIM?

Starting September 16, 2024, new subscribers can purchase a DITO eSIM at any DITO Experience Store branch or through DITO eShop in the DITO App. 

What is the price of a new DITO eSIM? 

The new DITO Prepaid eSIM costs just ₱99. It includes 9GB of all-access data, unlimited texts to all networks, unlimited DITO-to-DITO calls (voice and video), and 150 minutes of calls to other networks, valid for 15 days.

What devices are compatible with the DITO eSIM?

You can activate the DITO eSIM on the following devices:

Apple: iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11 series or later, iPad Pro (3rd Gen and up), iPad Mini (5th Gen and up), iPad Air (3rd Gen and up)
Google: Pixel 3 or later
Honor: Magic 4 Pro or later, Honor 90 series

How do I enable or install my DITO eSIM? 

After purchasing and receiving your DITO Prepaid eSIM, follow these steps to activate it: 
For Android devices: 

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap SIM Card Manager
  3. Tap Add eSIM
  4. Scan the eSIM QR code provided.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  6. Register your eSIM via the DITO App
  7. Restart your phone and enjoy your eSIM 

For iOS devices*:  

  1. Go to Settings 
  2. Tap Cellular 
  3. Tap Add eSIM 
  4. Scan or upload the eSIM QR code provided. 
  5. Follow the on-screen Instructions. 
  6. Register your eSIM via the DITO App 
  7. Restart your phone and enjoy your eSIM 

* Note: iOS devices currently support only 4G data. 
Keep a copy of your eSIM QR code (whether received by email or in print) as you’ll need it to reinstall the eSIM on your device if necessary.

How many eSIMs can I use on one device?

The number of eSIMs you can use on a device depends on the manufacturer. 
Samsung, Google, Huawei, and other Android devices: Typically, you can store 5 to 7 eSIM profiles, but only one can be active at a time. 
Apple iPhone 15: Can hold up to 8 eSIM profiles, with up to 2 active at the same time. 

Can I use an eSIM and a physical SIM with different numbers/network on the same device?

Yes, if your device supports both a physical SIM card and an eSIM, you can use both simultaneously. Each SIM will have its own phone number and cellular service.

Can I use one (1) eSIM in two (2) devices?

No, you can’t use the same eSIM in two devices simultaneously. Just like a physical SIM, an eSIM can only be active in one device at a time. 

What is the cost of a replacement DITO eSIM if my handset is lost or damaged? 

The replacement of a DITO eSIM is free of charge if your handset is lost or damaged. To get a new eSIM, submit a help ticket through the DITO App. You will receive a new QR code via email, which will come with a different mobile number. Be sure to provide your sales invoice, official receipt or screenshot for the order (including order number), a valid ID, and a copy of the QR code if you have one. The replacement will be processed within 24 hours.

If you can't get a new eSIM right away, make sure to temporarily disconnect your line to prevent unauthorized use.

Where can I request a DITO eSIM replacement, and what is the SLA? 

To request a DITO eSIM replacement, submit a help ticket through the DITO App. You will then receive a new QR code via email, which will come with a different mobile number. Please provide your sales invoice, official receipt or screenshot for the order (including order number), a valid ID, and a copy of the QR code if available. The replacement is free of charge and will be processed within 24 hours. 

Can I scan the QR code with multiple devices? 

No, once you scan and install the QR code on one phone, it can't be transferred or used on another device. 

How can I transfer my eSIM to a different handset? 

Currently, eSIM transfers aren't available, but we're actively working on making this feature possible. We’re looking forward to sharing this update with you soon, so stay tuned! 

Where can I check my eSIM on my handset? 

Open the Settings app, tap Connections, and then select SIM Manager. 

How can I transfer my eSim to another handset? 

On your new phone, go to the eSIM settings and select the option to “Add new eSIM”. Then, use the QR code or activation details provided by DITO to activate the eSIM on your new device. 

I lost my QR code before scanning/activation. What should I do? 

If you lost your QR code before scanning or activation, you can request a replacement by submitting a help ticket through the DITO App. You will receive a new QR code via email, which will come with a different mobile number. Make sure to provide your sales invoice, official receipt or screenshot for the order (including order number), a valid ID, and a copy of the QR code if available. The replacement is free of charge and will be processed within 24 hours. 
If you can’t get a new QR code immediately, make sure to temporarily disconnect your line to prevent unauthorized use. 

Can I convert my physical SIM to an eSIM? 

Currently, converting a DITO physical SIM to an eSIM is not available. However, we are working on making this feature available soon.

Can I use my DITO eSIM for international travel or roaming? 

Yes, you can use DITO's eSIM for international travel. Just make sure to subscribe to DITO's roaming services. 

How do I remove the DITO eSIM from my device? 

For iOS devices:

  1. Go to Settings. 
  2. Tap Cellular. 
  3. Tap Delete eSIM. 

For Android devices: 

  1. Go to Settings. 
  2. Tap SIM Card Manager. 
  3. Tap Select the eSIM you want to remove. 
  4. Tap Remove.
