Overall Speed of DITO’s 5G Network

5G technology is marketed to be much faster than 4G LTE, which was used by more than 90% of Filipinos in 2019 according to data from the independent think tank Statista. True to its promise, DITO’s 5G network delivers incredible speed.

The maximum speed of DITO Home 5G is 500Mbps, depending on certain factors, such as bandwidth and location. The average speed, meanwhile, is at 55Mbps with at least 80% reliability. This should be fast enough for you to enjoy a lag-free connection for your internet use, whether it be for entertainment, work tasks, or school requirements.

Coverage of DITO’s 5G Network

DITO’s 5G network is already available in multiple locations all over the country. We are continuously expanding our network, and right now, the service can only be accessed in the following areas in the Philippines:

Metro Manila

Composed of 16 highly urbanized cities and a municipality, Metro Manila is the most populous metropolitan area in the entire country. The entire region is currently home to over 13 million people, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that there’s also an abundance of businesses in the area.

DITO’s 5G network currently covers a large area in Metro Manila. Our home 5G service is already available in certain barangays in the whole metropolis, and it’s only a matter of time before other areas in the entire region can access the service.

Cebu City

Often dubbed the Queen City of the South, Cebu City is among the most prosperous regions in the Visayas. It is also the largest and most populous city in the entire Metro Cebu. Additionally, because of its unique culture, amazing sceneries, and historical significance, it is a prime tourist spot that welcomes over 2 million local and foreign travelers each year.

The city is composed of 80 barangays, and DITO’s 5G network is available in almost half of them. Currently, these 31 barangays in Cebu City have access to DITO Home 5G.

Mandaue City

Mandaue City is another highly urbanized region in the province of Cebu, and it is only a 30-minute drive from Cebu City. It’s a vibrant area thriving with many businesses of all sizes and from different industries. That’s partly thanks to its location near the port areas.

As of 2020, The city is home to over 300,000 Filipinos scattered across 27 barangays. DITO Home 5G is available in 11 barangays in the town, which means that subscribers in that area can enjoy fast and reliable internet connection. However, since we are continuously expanding our services, there will surely come a time when the whole of Mandaue City can access our 5G network.

Getting Access to DITO’s 5G Network

DITO’s 5G network coverage in the Philippines is steadily growing. If your location can already access our 5G services, you might wonder how to subscribe to us. Here’s a quick guide:

Requirements

It’s easy to subscribe to DITO Home 5G services as long as you have a valid ID. Apart from that, you need to furnish proof of billing, which will be primarily used to assess your eligibility.

There are many types of proof of billing that you can bring. A few examples would be:

• Utility Bills – You can bring electricity, water, and internet bills. You may also use statements for your existing mobile phone subscriptions.
• Bank Statements and Credit Card Bills – If you can provide credit card bills or a recent statement of account for your debit card, you can also use those.
• Other Bills – If you have other bills that you regularly pay, you can bring them, as well. Some examples would be statements of accounts for insurance, housing, and even select club memberships.

Inclusions

DITO offers two kinds of home 5G services. In the prepaid plan, you need to buy our starter kit first and have it installed in your home. Once done, you can purchase any of the available prepaid promos, which can include up to 500GB of data valid for 30 days.

We also have postpaid plans, which are loaded with plenty of freebies. First, the DITO Home 5G starter kit is already included in the promo, so you don’t need to purchase it separately. Additionally, you get bonus data and even free HBO Go subscriptions in the first three months.

Overall Costs

The overall costs you must pay depend on whether you want to subscribe to a prepaid or postpaid plan.

Prepaid

In our prepaid plan, you have to purchase the DITO Home 5G starter kit, which costs ₱12,990. You can pay it via installments, and for that amount, you’ll get the modem, a SIM, 50GB of open data, and another 1GB of data that you can use to download the DITO app. It also has a free 3-month subscription to HBO Go.

Once you already have the modem, you can subscribe to different prepaid plans. Our promos start at ₱590, which gives you 100GB of data valid for a whole month. If you think that’s not enough, more options offer a higher amount of data. Our most expensive promo is at ₱1,990 a month, which provides you with 500GB of data.

Postpaid

If you think our prepaid plans aren’t for you, we have postpaid promos that might pique your interest. The game changer here is that you no longer have to purchase the starter kit, so it’s like you’ve already saved ₱12,990. Additionally, you’ll get double data freebies for the first three months of your subscription.

Our postpaid promos start at ₱990, providing you with 180GB of data in the first three months and then 90GB after that. The most expensive option is at ₱2,490, which includes 700GB of data in the first three months and 350GB in the succeeding ones. All our postpaid promos have a 3-month free subscription to HBO Go.

If you have unused data, it will be rolled over to the next month. However, if you have already used up everything, don’t worry because we offer Booster Promos. They cost ₱190, and they give you 20GB of data, valid for 30 days.
