DITO Telecommunity is poised to bring Filipino excellence to the global stage, this time in the Esports scene, as it partners with the legendary squad Team Liquid PH.
Bannering the #GalingDITO spirit at the highly anticipated Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from July to August are two TLPH squads.
Fresh from an exciting 7-game series victory at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League last June, the TLPH men’s team will be eyeing the 2025 Mid-Season Cup. Leading the roster is phenomenal Jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno. Firm on clinching a victory this time around, the team declared that they want to win the championship for the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the women’s squad TLPH Aqua, led by talented Jungler Triniti “Ramici” Ramos, is determined to earn a back-to-back title for the Philippines at the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) after a runner-up finish in this year’s Athena Cup.
The TLPH men’s team is scheduled to play in the MSC group stage taking place on July 23, while the all-female squad is set to defend its title starting July 15.
In addition to the support pouring in from the Philippine Esports community and the fan base, DITO’s partnership with Team Liquid is expected to further boost the squad. Supporters of MLBB competitors can expect exciting activities involving the legendary roster leading up to the tournament and in the months to come, as well as offerings from DITO that will allow subscribers to enjoy unmatched connectivity and next-level gaming.
Team Liquid fans who are also DITO subscribers are encouraged to keep up with updates regarding the partnership via the telco’s official social media channels and website.
Team Liquid is a Swiss-based competitive gaming community that started in 2000. The organization began as a StarCraft clan, evolving into a championship-winning team and expanding over the years. Today, Team Liquid has more than 250 colleagues and three facilities globally and maintains the massively popular gaming wiki, Liquipedia.
The Filipino roster, Team Liquid PH, plays Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Qualifiers for the Mid-Season Cup are selected locally from the Professional League (MPL), in which the squad dominated in the 15th Season this year. The team is slated to vie for the championship title and will go to Riyadh with another beloved Pinoy Esports squad, Onic PH.
Meanwhile, the all-female roster Team Liquid Aqua returns to the women’s invitational event for the same game. The titleholder represents the Philippines along with Natus Vincere PH.
All squads are deep in training and preparation for their respective events in July.
It is every Esports fan’s dream to support their favorite squad live at the World Cup in Riyadh. However, when time or budget constraints prevent a supporter from flying overseas, the community can still watch the gameplay in real-time via online streaming. For the Mid-Season Cup, fans can follow the event through EWC’s Twitch or YouTube channels.
DITO Telecommunity’s various data and WiFi plans allow subscribers to follow the event online. The DITO App Booster, for instance, enables upfront payment to enjoy app-specific access, including YouTube. DITO Level-Up Packs, meanwhile, offer more data in various price tiers, letting mobile internet users maximize their streaming allocations.
For fans who don’t want to monitor their data usage constantly, the DITO Unli 5G is the practical choice. Livestreaming the EWC online will be exceptionally smooth and seamless if the user is in a 5G coverage area.
On the other hand, DITO mobile postpaid subscribers can opt for either an unlimited 5G data plan or a 50 GB all-access data plan, both billed monthly, allowing them to follow the gameplay conveniently.
Aside from mobile data plans, supporters can opt for the DITO 5G home WiFi kit, which offers speeds of up to 500 Mbps. This kit enables users to enjoy faster internet and smoother 4K streaming and brings the EWC viewing experience to the next level.
